LEXINGTON, NC (June 20, 2012) – The Hospice of Davidson County “Ride for Angels” motorcycle benefit will be held Saturday, July 21 at Denton FarmPark.  The ride, which winds across Davidson County, will be escorted by members of the Davidson County Sheriff’s Department, and will depart from the park at 10:45 a.m.

July “Ride for Angels” event originated in 2007, as friends and neighbors came together to remember loved ones who had passed away as a result of a terminal illness.  Participation and enthusiasm about the ride has grown every year, and last year’s ride attracted more than 365 riders and raised more than $19,000 to help families facing terminal illness in Davidson County.  21st at 10:45.

Fees/Admission:
Advanced registration is $15 per bike and $5 for an additional rider.  Day-of registration is $20 per bike and $5 for an additional rider.  Lunch is included with registration.  Charlotte band Jeff Luckadoo and Southern Wave will provide entertainment following the ride.
 
Hospice of Davidson County once again invites riders and others in the community to remember a loved one by placing an “in memory” name or ad on the back of the 2012 Ride for Angels t-shirt.  This year’s t-shirt will be military green and can list up to 50 names and messages honoring those who passed away as a result of a terminal illness.  For more details on how to honor a loved one with a t-shirt message, please contact Tammy Troublefield at (336) 475-5444.
