Lexington, NC Family Services of Davidson County will hold the 6th Annual Davidson Doozie on May 13, 2017. This annual running event raises much needed funds for life changing counseling and support services offered at Family Services. Funding will specifically go toward enhancing services for children and families including those coping with family violence, trauma, and issues of sexual abuse. Once again, Davidson County’s two hospitals, Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center and Wake Forest Baptist Health-Lexington Medical Center, are coming together as co-presenting sponsors. Sponsorship opportunities are still available. We appreciate support from local businesses and individuals at any level. Supporters of the Davidson Doozie have the opportunity to be affiliated with a great cause and to reach an audience that includes runners from across the piedmont. Register to run/walk through the beautiful Davidson County countryside. There is both a 10k and a 3.6 mile run. The course is a challenging full loop course. The 10k is a certified race. We also have a fun run around the FSDC building for the little ones. All races begin at the agency’s main office, 1303 Greensboro St. Extension, Lexington. This year, in addition to individual registration, there is a new Team Registration opportunity. Businesses, church and service organizations, family and friend groups can register for either the 10k or 3.6 mile event as a team.
